Juliette Benet

Senior Development Officer

Juliette leads Lively Minds’ fundraising and reporting strategy through donor reporting, impact reporting, proposal writing and applications for challenge events, awards and speaking engagements.

For over 8 years, she has worked in the humanitarian aid and development sector in a wide range of contexts with a consistent focus on child protection and education. Juliette is an expert in writing for international organisations and has experience in research and analysis, communications, and in grants and donor relations.

Prior to joining Lively Minds, she worked at the International Catholic Migration Commission in Brussels as Communications and Institutional Partnerships Officer. Before that, she honed her analytical and writing expertise at the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (NRC) in Geneva. She also has an extensive field experience in Greece with child refugees and in Sri Lanka and the Philippines as a Grants and Project officer for ChildFund International. She began her career at the European Commission DG ECHO as a Field Security Analyst, understanding the grants and donor system from the inside.

Juliette holds a master’s degree in international Humanitarian Law and Action and a Post-graduate diploma in Human Rights protection. She is as well a trained journalist.

Aside from her commitment to see all children thriving, she loves to cook and combines this with her passion for writing by authoring her own recipes for magazines.
